Power

I decided to make a short blog instead of stressing over some long article that would probably be mediocre at best. This what God has been showing me this past week:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The GOSPEL is what brings the POWER of salvation! You hear much silliness about people begging God for "holy fire" or his "presence". Relying on loud worship music and emotional excitement to give them a euphoric sense of "power". The BIBLE clearly states where our POWER comes from and also who denies it:

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭3:1-5‬ ‭KJV

‬‬ The POWER of God is in the GOSPEL. That is what “godly” false teachers mentioned above deny. If you are not a Christian, this power is unavailable to you. We as modern Christians have replaced the truth of God with the feelings of man. The GOSPEL has been lost in our age by weak Christians.

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The PREACHING of the CROSS is the GOSPEL! Adding nothing to it and taking nothing away from it! Forget social causes and general do-good deeds. That is not the Gospel of Christ's death, burial and resurrection.

“And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?” Mark‬ ‭12:24‬ ‭KJV‬

Jesus scolded his people for not knowing the BIBLE which contains the very of the POWER of GOD. You cannot be his soldier if you don't wear his armor.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬

The Word of God is the WEAPON that gives us POWER. Stop asking for “power” when he has already given it to you. Study the BIBLE or you are the one denying the POWER contained therein!

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭2:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬

The ungodly false teachers will be more ungodly the longer they deny the POWER OF GOD. Do not be trapped in this silliness and dive into your Bible as much as you can. Tap into the well of POWER available to you.
